D.感觉痛苦型动词:

感觉痛苦型动词表示人的身体或神经所受的痛苦,如feelachehurtitchtinglepainstingtickleget on one's nervesset one's teeth on edge等,这类动词本身表示延续性概念,使用或不使用进行时态,其含义是相同的,例如:

120)aI feel hungry

bI am feeling hungry

cI am suffering from hunger

(我觉得饿。)

121)aMy head aches badly

bMy head is aching badly

cI have a bad headache

dI am suffering from a bad headache

(我头痛得厉害。)

122)aMy left knee hurts

bMy left knee is hurting

(我的左膝痛。)

bHe was itching all over

在这类动词中,feel可以表示身体、精神或情感等方面的痛苦感觉,如 feel coldhungrysadbaddiscourageddiscontenteddisappointed等.也可以表示积极的、肯定的、正面的情感,如feel happywellcomfortablesureconfident等。动词feel的这种用法,相当于动词be.例如:

动词feel可以用作上述四种类型的感觉性动词,现在举例区别如下:

此外,动词feelseehear,后跟that从句时,不表示人体感觉,而表示思想认识,例如:

句型 Sbhearsfinds oneself doing sth.不是表示感觉能力或感觉状态,而是表示“意外结果”(unexpected result)或“意外经历”(unexpected experience)。这个句型可以改为 Sbisunexpectedlyheardfound doingsth.或Peopleunexpectedlyhearfind sbdoing sth.,例如:
